GlamourDoll Galore! (Part 6, Greens!)

Olivia Green was an Immature Drag Queen, a Trend Setter and known Backstabber who lived on the Upper East Side. her Big Brother was fraught with Jealousy, even though he was considered Greased Lighting, while he sipped his Apple Martini.

Kay, so that one didn't work out too well. And i apologize for the HUGE hiatus. I've been MIA this whole semester due to school and personal life etc. You know how it is.

But! I may start doing youtube videos. I have 2 up that are just slidshows for a makeup contest held by Nikkie, (of Nikkietutorials,) Klairedelysart, and Frmheadtotoe. And i also think that it'd be a heck-of-a-lot easier to just say colour descriptions rather than type them all out. Whaddya think!?

Here'sLINK to my first Glamour Doll Eyes post.. it shall tell all!

-Drag Queen * - A matte bluish green base with gold and purple shimmer in it. Not a TON of shimmer, but enough to get the look across. A base might be nice to get the shimmer to really show.

-Radioactive * - Matte teal greenish that's pretty decently bright. This doesn't "stick" as well as some of the other mattes, so a sticky base would be handy. Like a NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil or something.

-Immature * - Kelly green shimmer tinged with a bit of teal, but the gold shimmer that's in it makes it look more green than teal when it's on.

-Shamrock * - This great colour is a bright-light true green shimmer/frost finish. Its super smooth and blendable. You can use it dry, no base for a wash of colour, dry with a base for a stronger hit of blendable colour. Or! use it wet for super strong, punchy green.

-Backstabber * - matte black base with a TON of true green and a bit of gold shimmer in it. This makes it a super fun and versitile colour. If you pat it on dry, it looks like a dark green shimmer, but if you blend it our dry, it looks like a grey with some green and gold shimmer on top. But if you use it wet it looks like a super strong green with a touch of gold colour, while still being dark.

-Trend Setter * - This look like the same blend of a black base and shimmer as in Backstabber, but instead of green and gold shimmer, this one has green and bluish aqua shimmer in it which makes it a completely different colour.

-Upper East Side - Muted matte dark olivey green with silver shimmer throughout. It does look very Gossip Girl, does't it?

-Jealousy * - A tad bit of matte black works with the green and gold shimmer. It is just enough to darken the colour when used wet. Actually, the green/gold shimmer looks a tad bit duo-chromey. Like turn the swatch one way and it looks green, turn it the other way and it looks gold. This is one of my favourites out of all of them!

-Martini Olive * - Flat, velvety matte dark olive green. This was released in one of GlamourDollEyes' holiday collections previously, and they worked it into their permanent collection. It almost looks blackened, but it doesn't look as if she added any matte black to it. p.s. the swatch looks like it has some shimmer, but that was just some really stubborn shimmer that i couldn't get off from the previous swatch.

-Olivia Green * - A matte Green green, with a little bit of yellow undertones, which gives it that olivey feel.

-FrankenGlamour * - This colour is suppperr amazing! Its almost a lightish lime green, but it has a yellow sheen. Its very fresh and bright, and it has shimmer without being *I HAVE SPARKLES ON MY EYES*....which i guess is why Vee describes it as a sheen rather than shimmer. This colour came out with the  2010 halloween collection, but now tis permanent!

-Big Brother (Emmett) * - *this isn't in their permanent collection, it's part of the Twi-Shadow's collection!* Its a muted grey shimmer colour. Its warmed up a bit with a touch of a yellow tone.

-Sarcasm * - Matte blackened olive green base with a greened up gold shimmer. Super pretty!

-Oddity * - Matte olive green base (like Olivia Green) with bright greened up yellow shimmer on top.

-Apple Martini * - A matte apple green base with silver shimmer on top. Just like an apple martini! The colour description on the glamourdolleyes site says it also has purple and pink shimmer, which may show more when applied wet.

-Grease Lighting * - Blackened Gold shimmer. So fantastic! Its moody, and it looks as if it has a touch of green to it? It may just be my eyes though. Lovely colour!

>Midterm Exam!
These exams will be a touch different since I didn't buy the full-size jars of every colour, and also, i'm reviewing one colour family at a time. I'll score the product as an overall rating, according to the range of colours in this particular family, and also the overall quality. I'll score the value according to the price of full jars. I'll score the packaging according to how well they were packaged for shipment. And finally, i'll score ease of use
according to use out of the plastic baggie, but otherwise normally.

Product: 51/60
Value: 18/20
Packaging: 8/10
Ease of Use: 8.5/10

>Did they pass?

All of these greens lean a but yellow for me. I'd love to see her add in more true greens or blueish greens. But I LOVE all of these, since i have green eyes, they really compliment them well. These got an 85.5%

>Photos time!

The colours look a tad bit washed out, its just because they're mostly shimmer colours and my remote flash was NOT having it.

Tell me what your favourite green shadow is!

GlamourDoll Galore! (Part 5, Blues!)

A Tattooed, Boy Crazy girl with mad Sex Appeal said Hello Brooklyn at dusk. She did a Fabulous Flashdance in her Drity Jeans Hotpants.

Here's a LINK to my first post that has more details on what this is about, just read the first couple paragraphs to get a general idea (or the whole thing!)

> Tattooed * - Amazing matte blue base with a ton of purple shimmer. This colour is super lovely with that blend of matte and shimmer, so if you use it wet, the purple shimmer will stand out. But if you use it dry, the matte blue will be the star.

> Sex Appeal * - This has to be one of my absolute favourites. Its so crazily unique! It has a matte greyed down purple base with grey and greenish shimmer. At least that's what i think it is! Its just so pretty!

> Boy Crazy * - This blue almost has a periwinkle tinge to it. When blended lots, it also looks a tad green. The base is a matte, but there's tons of shimmer throughout.

> Dusk * - Greyed down navy blue frost finish base with a teensy bit of blue shimmer added for that kick of colour. This shows actually pretty sheer, so maybe try it with a base, or using it wet.

> Hello Brooklyn * - Gorgeous matte black base blue/aqua glitter! the glitter even stayed put in this colour, so no base required! Even though its always a good idea to use a base to prevent creasing and kick up the pigmentation a bit.

> Blue Ribbon * - The base colour of this is a true blue shimmer. The texture, colour and finish honestly makes it look like a satin ribbon that you'd win at track and field haha.

> Ahoy Sailor * - Fantastically pigmented matte dark navy blue. Super rich and deep with a really velvety texture that's easy to blend.

> Mingles * - Mmmmhh a deliciously pigmented matte true blue. This is super nice, another of my favourites. I can't wait to play around with this colour!

> Blueberry Lush * - Another true blue colour, but this one is a shimmer/frost finish! This would add dimension to any look that you use mingles in.

> Melancholy * - A brighter version of Blueberry Lush that has a more aqua colour to it without having outright green tones. Its not as shimmery as Blueberry Lush though. Its got more of a sheen than a frost or shimmer finish.

> Hotpants * - Muted light to mid-toned blue shimmer colour. Its muted without being boring or dull.

> Flashdance * - Mid-toned muted blue with lots of shimmer. The shimmer seems to be very silver, which may be what makes this look a bit muted. But even though its so shimmery, it has some great colour payoff. This colour does show a tad bit of purple when its blended out, though nothing drastic.

> Drity Jeans * - I just bought a pair of dirty wash jeans that looks exactly like this colour! Its a base of jeans-blue, with goldy shimmer to it that gives it that 'dirty' feeling. While it is really shimmer/frosty it's not overwhelming because of the colour it has.

> Fabulous! * - A blued up teal with lots of teal shimmer. The texture of this shadow is lovely. Super soft and fine with great colour payoff and blend-ability.

> Aqua Foil * - A darker, less blue version of Fabulous! I can imagine using this wet, it would look like you turned aluminum foil, aqua! It has a bit of gold shimmer incorporated too which makes it extra special.

> Island Chic * - Imagine a picture-perfect island, surrounded with crystall clear blue waters with white beaches that are just calling you to have a fancy cocktail on them. Now turn the waters there into an eye-shadow! That is this colour! Really pretty aqua-ey turquoise. Its shimmer but with also a tad bit of matte i think. And some gold glitter to add that sandy beaches and sunshine feeling.

GlamourDoll Galore! (Part 4, Purples!)

Chelsey, a Royal Assasin went to an All Nigher, Victorian Masquerade in Tokyo wearing her Girlfrind Sweater and Lace Panties. she's just a Typical Girl, but under Summer Skies, they told her to Just Dance.
